Loose, a transfer from Eastern Michigan, reached the "B" flight final at the Eastern Intercollegiate Championships, held in West Point, NY over the weekend. In her first competition of the season, Loose was unseeded in the draw, but ousted top-seed Allison Davidson of St. John’s (5-7, 6-3, 10-6) and #4 seed Masha Pozar of UMass (6-4, 7-6 (6)) to reach the title match, where she suffered a 7-5, 6-1 setback to Binghamton’s Jelena Koprivica.
