The team of Racioppo and Salvatore won the "A" flight doubles crown at the Fairfield Doubles Festival on Sunday. The duo began the day with a setback to Queens College, but bounced right back with victories over Holy Cross and UConn (B) in pool play to reach the semifinals, where they ousted UConn (A), 9-8 (1). Racioppo and Salvatore earned a rematch with Queens with the title at stake, and exacted revenge with an 8-5 triumph to claim the title. Both players earned first team all-NEC doubles recognition a year ago for Quinnipiac, which captured its first conference championship in 2004.
