Harrison, the 2003 NEC Rookie of the Year and a first team all-conference pick, exploded for a career-high four goals and added an assist in the Blue Devils’ 5-4 triumph over Sacred Heart in its season opener on Saturday. Harrison, who also established a new career mark with nine points, knocked in the game-winner with 5:29 to play as NEC preseason favorite CCSU rallied from an early 2-0 deficit to grab the win. His four goals and nine points lead the NEC and were the most in an NEC contest since St. Francis (PA)’s Bernie Showers scored five goals for ten points in a 7-0 win over Monmouth on October 17, 2003.
