In an all-around week, Hopkins batted .400 (8-20) with a home run, four runs scored, six runs-batted-in and was 2-0 (1-0 NEC) as a pitcher with a 1.79 ERA and seven strikeouts, helping clinch a tournament berth for the Seahawks. She began the week with three hits and two RBI in a sweep of Lafayette, in which she also picked up a win on the mound, tossing a three-hit, five-inning shutout with four strikeouts. Against Albany, she continued her hot play with two more hits, including her first career home run that sent Wagner to a sweep of the America East-leading Albany Great Danes. The Edison, NJ native then collected three more hits over the conference weekend with two runs scored against Mount St. Mary’s. She also added a win versus the Mountaineers, allowing two runs (one earned) over six innings. She recorded a hit in every game she batted last week and currently is on a six-game hitting streak. On the season, the rookie is batting .233 with 11 runs scored and 14 RBI, and on the mound holds a 7-5 record and a 2.49 ERA.
