Steele competed strongly in four events at the Duke Invitational, winning the 400-meter dash with a personal and NEC best time (47.47), taking second in the 200-meters (21.76), earning seventh on the 4x100-meter relay (41.66) and seventh in the 400-meter hurdles (52.90). All four times qualify for the IC4As after already qualifying for NCAA Regionals in the hurdles.
