Playing his finest basketball of the season, Robinson helped lead the surging Blue Devils to a 3-0 week after running his double-double streak to six games. In capturing his second weekly honor of the season, Robinson averaged 19.0 points, 11.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and was 20-43 from the floor (.465) and a scintillating 17-18 (.944) from the line. In an 90-82 triple overtime win at Mount St. Mary’s on Monday, he finished with 21 points, 11 rebounds and five assists after playing all 55 minutes of the marathon affair. Robinson came back with a 16-point, 13-board performance as the Blue Devils knocked off second place Monmouth, 73-54, in New Britain on Thursday. Two days later, the 2002-03 NEC first team all-star tallied a team-high 20 points and snared 10 caroms as CCSU rallied for a 70-69 triumph at Fairleigh Dickinson. Robinson scored the game-winning basket with six seconds to play, capping a 10-2 Blue Devil run in the final two minutes. The Bronx, NY native, who leads the conference with 9.7 rpg and is fourth in scoring at 18.0 ppg, moved into fifth place on the NEC’s all-time rebounding chart last week with 924 boards. Robinson leads the league with ten double-doubles on the season and ranks first among active NEC players with 34 over the course of his career.
