Rautenberg advanced to the #3 singles final at the Eastern Collegiate Championships held at West Point over the weekend. She defeated second-seeded Dorothy Iwaniwicz of UMass, 6-2, 6-1, Rutgers’ Helen Magomedova, 6-1, 6-1, and Georgetown’s Monisha Ghia, 6-3, 6-3, to reach the title match. In a three-set thriller for the championship, Rautenberg was defeated by top-seeded Kristina Bothova of St. John’s, 6-0, 3-6, 11-9. The Mansfield, MA native is the fourth Quinnipiac competitor to earn NEC weekly honors this season.
