Bowers reached the semifinals of the ECAC North Championships on Sunday, four days after helping lead Sacred Heart to a 6-1 win over St. Peter’s in its dual meet opener. Competing in the #2 singles draw, Bowers ousted Jeff Bender of Connecticut College, 6-0, 6-2, in the opening round of the ECACs, held at Vassar College, before falling to Randall Smalley of Lehigh in the semis. In the victory over St. Peter’s, Bowers knocked off Matt Tyrteli at the #2 flight, 6-2, 6-3, and teamed with Pat Darragh to win 8-3 at #1 doubles.
