On a day that saw Sacred Heart improve to 5-1 with a 41-14 victory over Siena, Tonzola converted all four of his field goal attempts to tie a school record. He split the uprights from 23, 29, 34 and 28 yards to tie Tim Redican’s single-game mark set against Assumption on September 2, 2000. Tonzola has been near perfect for the Pioneers in 2003, hitting 8-9 field goal attempts and 20-22 conversion opportunities. He ranks first in the NEC with 44 points, and is tied with Monmouth’s Steven Andriola for the league lead with eight field goals. Tonzola is also eighth nationally with 1.3 field goals per game.
