Jr., P, 6-1, 175 lbs., Westampton, NJ/Holy Cross
Dennis helped Monmouth win the battle of field position in the Hawks’ 17-10 win over Robert Morris in West Long Branch on Saturday. The junior averaged 43.4 yards on five punts on the afternoon. Dennis’ 44-yard boot with 9:27 remaining in the fourth quarter and the score tied at 10-10 pinned the Colonials at their own 10-yard line and set up Erik Yngstrom's forced fumble and Bobby Smith's subsequent game-winning touchdown run two minutes later. With the Hawks leading 17-10 and 2:54 left in the contest, Dennis uncorked a game-best 51-yard punt that forced the Colonials to start an ultimately unsuccessful drive from their own 20-yard line.
