To cap a stellar effort, Rose produced the game’s key defensive play as Central Connecticut State knocked off Monmouth - the nation’s top-ranked I-AA Mid-Major team - by a 14-10 score in New Britain on Saturday. Trailing by four with just over ten minutes to play, Monmouth moved the ball 53 yards to the CCSU eight-yard line before Rose thwarted the drive with an interception in the end zone. He finished the game with eight tackles (six solo), a sack and two pass breakups. A Hartford, CT product, Rose is tied for second in the NEC with four interceptions.
