Bridgewater, NJ -- The NEC has announced a new multi-year agreement with
Influxer to become its official merchandise partner in the name, image and likeness (NIL) landscape. The NEC now becomes the first NCAA Division I Conference to partner with Influxer. In addition, all ten of the NEC’s member institutions are now licensed merchandise partners with Influxer.
Highlighting this agreement, Influxer will serve as the official sponsor of the NEC’s weekly awards program for men’s and women’s basketball and will also receive courtside signage during NEC basketball broadcasts throughout the season. Additionally, Influxer will maintain a significant presence during NEC Basketball and Volleyball Tournament games annually. Influxer will also host an NEC storefront as part of this agreement where fans will be able to purchase championship gear and NEC champions apparel.
“The NEC is excited to become Influxer’s first Division I Conference partner,” said NEC Commissioner Noreen Morris. “Influxer is an ideal brand to add to the NEC’s corporate partner lineup and will provide every NEC student-athlete with the opportunity to potentially benefit through their name, image and likeness,” Morris added.
Founded in 2022, Influxer was created with the goal of connecting student-athletes to the resources they needed to thrive in the NIL market. The company is licensed with more than 500 colleges and universities around the country, offering student-athletes the chance to sell personalized merchandise with their school's officially licensed branding.
In addition to creating a personal store for each NEC student-athlete who opts in, Influxer is also committed to providing student-athletes with the education required to succeed in this environment. Influxer staff are available for free one-on-one coaching on a variety of topics from social media marketing to taxes to reading contracts. The company also offers paid internships to student-athletes on most of their partner campuses to assist in marketing, graphic design, business, and other facets of the company.
“The NEC shares our belief that NIL should be accessible to every student-athlete, not just a select few,” said Tyler Jaynes, CEO of Influxer. “This partnership allows us to deliver conference-wide NIL opportunities, education, and paid internships that help student-athletes build brands, generate income, and develop professional skills for life after sport.”
Influxer is free to join and will allow NEC student-athletes to sell multiple lines of personalized merchandise on their e-commerce platform,
influxermerch.com. It offers an industry-leading flat-rate pay structure and the deal is non-exclusive, allowing NEC student-athletes to pursue other NIL opportunities as well.
Once an NEC student-athlete has opted into the store, fans will be able to find the new apparel at each institution’s Influxer store as well as the student's own personalized site. All designs are approved by the College and are available in every student-athlete's own store in the same sport. The merchandise list includes hats, shirts, sweatshirts, jerseys, tumblers and more, with new designs and products being rolled out throughout the year.
