Bridgewater, NJ — Two NEC women's soccer players were recognized by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) on Friday morning.
Central Connecticut defender
Emma Radoncic (Ridgefield, NJ/Ridgefield Memorial) was named to the Division I All-ECAC First Team and FDU midfielder
Marina Bruzaco (Madrid, Spain/San Ignacio de Loyola) was named to the Second Team.
Radoncic, the NEC Defensive Player of the Year, was the headliner in a strong CCSU back line that guided the squad to their 16th NEC final in November. The Ridgefield, NJ native led the Blue Devils in scoring as well, tallying 10 points from four goals and two assists. Radoncic started all 17 matches she appeared in during the 2025 season, earning All-NEC First Team in the process.
The junior's veteran precense helped CCSU keep six clean sheets this season and five in conference play. The most crucial shutout of the season came in a scrappy 1-0 NEC semifinal upset over top-seeded FDU. Radoncic set career-highs in points and goals in 2025, bringing her to 25 career points and eight goals. She has nine career assists as well.
Highlights of Radoncic's 2025 campaign include an NEC Player of the Week nod on October 13 and a wondergoal in CCSU's 2-1 comeback win over Mercyhurst on October 9, earning the Blue Devils three points they would need at season's end to qualify for the postseason.
Burzaco was also named an All-NEC First Team selection for her efforts this season. The two-time NEC Player of the Week led the conference in assists (9) and was third in points (23). The sophomore built upon her All-Rookie campaign in 2024 by nearly doubling her points tally with 23 from seven goals and nine assists. Burzaco had a stretch of eight matches from September 11 to October 16 where she contributed to at least one goal in the contest. That period included three consecutive games of mutliple goal involvements against Saint Joseph's, Delaware State and New Haven.
The Madrid, Spain native's strong play aided the Knights to an outright regular season NEC title and an unbeaten 9-0-2 conference campaign.
Burzaco has proved to be a reliable presence in FDU's midfield during her first two seasons in Teaneck, starting in all 40 of their matches since she joined the Knights.
